Assiniboine Community College students are eligible for loans and grants through the Manitoba Student Aid program. Students who have been in the workforce for at least a year and are unemployed, underemployed, or have been at home with children, may qualify for financial assistance through Employment Manitoba.

The Assiniboine Community College Foundation raises money that goes directly to students in the form of scholarships, awards and bursaries. Each year, our students receive anywhere from $150,000 to $200,000.
There are three main types of awards:

  • Scholarships – based primarily on academics
  • Bursaries – based primarily on financial need
  • Awards – Awards usually involve multiple criteria such as academic achievement, demonstrated
financial need and school or community involvement.

The criteria for scholarships often include leadership and extracurricular activities, and some may have a financial need component as well. You’ll want to read the eligibility criteria carefully for each listing to know whether you’ll be eligible. All ACC awards can be found at

For more information, contact the Financial Aid & Award Officer at (204) 725-8700 ext. 6020 or
