February 13, 2018, was an important date for aggies across Canada. It was Canada’s National Agriculture Day, which is celebrated by many people in the country, including the ACC Agribusiness Students. In honor of Canada’s Agriculture Day, the Ag Club hosted a pancake breakfast for the college and community members. Donations were accepted at the breakfast, raising $277, which the Ag Club donated to the
Samaritan House.

The breakfast included all local, donated food, from the following sponsors: pancake mix – Parrish & Heimbecker, sausages – Manitoba Pork, hard boiled eggs – Burnbrae Farms, homemade granola/honey – Richmond Honey Farms Cypress River, chocolate milk – Dairy Farmers of Manitoba, Chartwells, and condiments – Superstore.

Other sponsors who donated items for the breakfast included: Agriculture More Than Ever, DeKalb, Farm Credit Canada , Manitoba Canola Growers, Bayer Crop Science, and Alpine.

Throughout the school year, the Ag Club has also been busy with designing and ordering clothing for the Agribusiness program, and they hosted a successful Paint Nite, that featured a rustic barn, earlier in March.
