President - Ashley Fordyce

Describe yourself in five words

Diligent, Motivated, Ethical, Personable, Organized.

What career do you hope to pursue after completing your education at Assiniboine?

Licensed Practical Nurse.

What past experiences have prepared you for this position?

Years of customer service. I spent four years working in a high-volume call centre, answering customer calls, and identifying solutions.

What do you currently know about the ACCSA?

Non for profit organization that works to meet the needs of the students, and to support student success.

What are your top 3 qualities that you feel would best serve your fellow students?

A good listener, encouraging & positive, and take responsibility.

 

Vice President Governance - Nathan Bridges

Describe yourself in five words

Dedicated, personable, engaging, inquisitive, and dependable.

What career do you hope to pursue after completing your education at Assiniboine?

I plan to work in the environmental field evaluating sustainable practices.

What past experiences have prepared you for this position?

I have previously been elected as class representative, student council treasurer, and most recently as ACCSA Agriculture and Environment Representative.

What do you currently know about the ACCSA?

ACCSA is a dedicated organization to improve the well being of ACC students during their enrollment. Social events, clubs, student benefits, and planning long term are some of the supportive acts that ACCSA provides the students.

What are your top 3 qualities that you feel would best serve your fellow students?

  • Dedicated to ensuring students are heard.
  • Desire to make our time at ACC as enjoyable as possible.
  • Driven to make a change happen.
Vice President Governance - Aaron Packham

Describe yourself in five words

Hard working, Motivate, Energetic, Charismatic.

What career do you hope to pursue after completing your education at Assiniboine?

A career in marketing for experience with hopes to one day open my firm.

What past experiences have prepared you for this position?

Working independently or running a group for construction meant I had to make proper decisions and if I didn’t know I was comfortable asking for help or guidance.

What do you currently know about the ACCSA?

The ACCSA is responsible for events being held at the college and listen to the requests of our peers.

What are your top 3 qualities that you feel would best serve your fellow students?

  • Willing to consider all opinions
  • Work-ethic
  • Intelligence

 

Vice President Diversity & Inclusion - Alexis J. Cinq-Mars

Describe yourself in five words

Leader, Listener, Life-giver.

What career do you hope to pursue after completing your education at Assiniboine?

My goal is to continue my education, advocate for MMIW (Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women), exploited children, and indigenous families. I will continue my education as a social work or in law.

What past experiences have prepared you for this position?

I was your Health & Human Services Representative for 2020-2021, served on multiple committees and am the president of two clubs.

What do you currently know about the ACCSA?

I know we are the voice of the students. We serve as advocates and activists in making the school reflect the student body.

What are your top 3 qualities that you feel would best serve your fellow students?

  • Takes initiative
  • Sees goals through to the end
  • Provides an indigenous perspective

 

Vice President Engagement - Charlene Nault

Describe yourself in five words

Caring, Compassionate, Outgoing, Determined, Positive

What career do you hope to pursue after completing your education at Assiniboine?

I have not 100% decided yet. Probations, addictions, mental health.

What past experiences have prepared you for this position?

I am currently on the ACCSA as the Adult Collegiate Representative.

What do you currently know about the ACCSA?

Serves the students to promote student success through teamwork. Represents the students with an active voice.

What are your top 3 qualities that you feel would best serve your fellow students?

I have a positive attitude. I’m passionate about advocating for all people. I’m loud and outgoing, I’m not scared to speak up.

 

Parkland Chair - Campbell Orvis

Describe yourself in five words

Motivated, Flexible, Friendly, Reliable, Confident

What career do you hope to pursue after completing your education at Assiniboine?

I hope to be a manager of a business.

What past experiences have prepared you for this position?

This school year working as a student representative,

What do you currently know about the ACCSA?

The ACCSA is there to represent students and plan events so they have an awesome school experience.

What are your top 3 qualities that you feel would best serve your fellow students?

Team player, optimistic, respectful.

Voting Period: Monday, April 5th @ 9:00am to Friday, April 9th @ 9:00am

Election Results (Announced via student email): Friday, April 9th @ 1:00pm
